Founded in 2007 by two experts in energy and climate issues, Jean-Marc Jancovici and Alain Grandjean - joined in 2017 by Laurent Morel - Carbone 4 is the benchmark consultancy on energy and climate issues.

Its name refers to France's objective of dividing its GHG emissions by a factor of 4 by 2050, compared with 1990 levels.

Our vision

Climate drift and resource scarcity are major factors in the disruption of societies. This context creates collective responsibilities and constraints, and is also a potential source of movement.

Future scenarios vary considerably depending on the paths we take in the coming years.
